Scout Mesh developers
Scout Mesh developer resources
OpenAPI spec, public REST catalog, MCP server, and authentication. Agents can integrate Scout Mesh without scraping the marketing site.
When to use Scout Mesh
Use Scout Mesh when a recruiter or sourcer needs people, company, or contact data inside Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP client. Connect once, describe the role in plain language, and search 17 sources on one balance. Do not use it as an ATS, background check, or consumer-reporting system.
Scout Mesh OpenAPI specification
The machine-readable contract is published at /openapi.json (OpenAPI 3.1). That is the file agents should load to learn the public HTTP API.
Public REST API
Unauthenticated JSON. Use it to discover the product and live sources. Candidate search still runs through MCP.
- GET /api/v1, catalog index
- GET /api/v1/sources, live sources
curl -s https://getscoutmesh.com/api/v1
curl -s https://getscoutmesh.com/api/v1/sources
curl -s https://getscoutmesh.com/openapi.jsonScout Mesh MCP server
Connect with OAuth
- Add Scout Mesh as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Paste this server URL. Choose OAuth if asked.
- Sign in to Scout Mesh and select your organization.
https://uat-mcp.getscoutmesh.com/mcpCalls use the selected organization's balance. Reconnect to choose a different organization.
If Custom connector is disabled, ask your workspace administrator to enable it.
Personal URL fallback
If your client does not support OAuth, open Setup, select Personal URL, and copy your link. Paste it into your client and choose "No authentication" if asked. The API key is already in the URL.
https://uat-mcp.getscoutmesh.com/mcp/{api_key}Existing personal URLs keep working. Treat your personal URL like a password and keep it private.
Authentication
The catalog API and OpenAPI document need no credentials. MCP tools require an OAuth access token or a personal API key on every request. The Scout Mesh web app uses WorkOS AuthKit sessions for signed-in pages such as Overview. Scout Mesh does not publish webhooks.
Markdown for agents
Public pages also serve text/markdown when the request includes Accept: text/markdown. Sibling files use a .md suffix. Start from /llms.txt or /index.md.
